1.Have your own text in start button
Down load resource Hacker, a freeware at
www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/
It is used to edit executable file
Start Resource Hacker and open explorer.exe located at %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe.
Expand string table by clicking the plus sign to navigate down to and expand string 37 followed by highlighting 1033. If you are using the Classic Layout use number 38. The right hand pane will display the string table. Modify 578, “start” as 578, “Windowsskill” (any text) and click Compile Script and then save the file by using different name in the same directory.
Open the registry editor (click start\run and type regedit)
Select the following HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon
In the right pane, double click the Shell and enter the new modified file name (u just saved) in the edit string dialog box and click ok. Restart your computer to show the changes you made.
2.Changing desktop icons
Open the registry editor (start/run and type regedit and press enter).
Select the following HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID and search for {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} and select DefaultIcon sub key. In the right pane double click default and enter the icon path. Similarly you can change the icon of other desktop icons

3.Adding a new program to Right Click Menu
Open Registry Editor.
Select the following HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell. Add a new key (right click on shell and select new\key) and name it, the string that appears when you right click (to use key board add & and any key to the name). Select the new key you created and create another key named Command and in the right pane double click (default) and enter the path of the application.
