Apple iPad will be available in the US on Saturday, April 3, for Wi-Fi models and in late April for Wi-Fi + 3G models and pre order starts on March 12. iPad features a high-resolution 9.7” Multi-Touch™ display, 0.5 inches thick and weighs 1.5 pounds, thinner and lighter than laptop or netbook and costing between $499 and $829. iPad does everything you do with your iPhone like browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games and reading e-books. Also iPad features 12 next-generation Multi-Touch applications and works in portrait and landscape views.
The new iBooks app for iPad includes Apple’s new iBookstore which feature books from the New York Times Best Seller list from both major and independent publishers, including Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins Publishers, Macmillan Publishers, Penguin Group and Simon & Schuster.
iPad will be available in Wi-Fi models on April 3 in the US for a suggested retail price of $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB, $699 for 64GB. The Wi-Fi + 3G models will be available in late April for a suggested retail price of $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for 64GB.
