After much hype Apple has introduced its iPad, a magical and revolutionary device at an unbelievable price as said by Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, “iPad creates and defines an entirely new category of devices that will connect users with their apps and content in a much more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before.”
iPad features a high-resolution 9.7” Multi-Touch™ display, 0.5 inches thick and weighs 1.5 pounds, thinner and lighter than laptop or netbook and costing between $499 and $829. iPad does everything you do with your iPhone like browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games and reading e-books. Also iPad features 12 next-generation Multi-Touch applications and works in portrait and landscape views.
Soft keyboard pioneered on iPhone takes advantage of iPad’s larger display to offer an almost full-size soft keyboard and also connects to the iPad Keyboard Dock with a full-size traditional keyboard making this device ideal for portability.
iPad is powered by A4, Apple’s next-generation system-on-a-chip which is said to provide better graphics and battery performances. Apple’s new iBookstore, similar to iTunes will feature books from major and independent publishers.
iPad will be available in late March and comes in two versions one with Wi-Fi and the other with both Wi-Fi and 3G in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models.
