Google maps for BlackBerry gets updated with Google Maps 4.2 that allow you to get biking directions, quickly see helpful info when searching, and share places with friends. Previously Google added this features to Android last month. This new features allow Blackberry users to get biking directions, trails, and lanes.

The Local search gets a redesign with a new “share this place” option that allows you to share the information with your friends via email or text message. Search result page is also simplified with pictures and ratings along with easy-access buttons for directions, calling, etc. In addition you can share the snapshot where you are at the moment with your friends. Go to m.google.com/maps in your BlackBerry to download.
