LaCie Network Space 2, design by Neil Poulton, a major update to its popular network-attached storage (NAS) and media server. Designed exclusively for LaCie by Neil Poulton, the compact LaCie Network Space 2 has a sleek, mirror-polished black finish with a blue LED strip on its underside that creates an ambient glow. Its fanless design helps it to be more environmentally friendly and more efficient in its power usage. LaCie Network Space 2 comes in 1 or 2TB capacities and offers multiple ways to access media. Either copy files via Hi-Speed USB 2.0 or use the included LaCie Network Assistant, which facilitates access to the shares through the Gigabit network connection.

Network Space 2 features a media server which makes it easy to stream files from any computer on the local network or any UPnP/DLNA compliant device. Networked computers can access the iTunes® library or stored photos and everyone can stream music or videos from a networked UPnP™ AV player or adapter. The additional USB 2.0 host port, located on the front of the unit, allows users to connect a USB flash drive, hard drive or digital camera to import files automatically without the need for a computer to be powered on.
