MSI R5800 series graphics cards, MSI R5870/R5850
MSI has launched a new MSI R5800 series graphics cards by joining with AMD. The 40nm GPU supports DirectX 11 and a variety of AMD-exclusive audiovisual and performance enhancing technologies. MSI R5870/R5850 series is optimized for the upcoming Windows 7 operating system, and support the new DirectX 11 / Shader 5.0.

It is OpenGL 3.1 supported and also the newest OpenCL standard. This allows the powerful graphics processor to not only render visual effects but also being used on general computing which helps to reduce CPU usage resulting effective overall performance. MSI R5870/R5850 supports the new ATi Eyefinity technology, allowing for triple screen output on one single card.
MSI adopts solid capacitors and SSC (solid state chokes) to improve stability of the MSI R5870 and R5850 graphics cards, this provides for highest stability even under long-term full loading.
