Nokia and Yahoo! have announced a strategic alliance, what does this mean Nokia phones to have Yahoo messenger and Yahoo email and Yahoo to have Ovi Maps in its web properties. This alliance is named as project “Nike” (nothing to do with sports brand). This will allow Yahoo to get some space in Mobile against booming Google Android and iPhone while Nokia’s OVI brand will get exposure from Yahoo maps. The OVI Maps across Yahoo web properties is to be branded as “powered by Ovi” and Nokia’s Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat services branded as "Ovi Mail / Ovi Chat powered by Yahoo!".
