Smartphones getting smarter by day Qualcomm’s 1.2 Ghz processor was quick then now gets even quicker Qualcomm’s vice president of product management, Mark Frankel confirms to bring 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor for smartphones and tablets later this year. The QSD8672 is based on ARM design and manufactured using 45nm process. The individual voltage scaling of core allows each core to clock independently which enables low power consumption. This chip also support 1080p video playback, integrated HDMI and DDR2 and DDR3 memory interfaces.
