Windows XP
Windows is the most widely used OS in the world; Windows XP (XP stands for experience) is one of the well known operating system under windows series.
Starting up windows
Like most operating systems Windows start immediately when you turn on the computer. When your computer as multiple users or when it is in LAN you see a welcome screen. It contains all the users, Click on your user account name. If your account is password protected, enter the password and press enter or click on login.
Shutting down and restarting windows
To turn off the computer, close all the files click on the start in the taskbar and click turnoff computer, Or press Alt + F4 from the desktop or press Ctrl + Esc and click turnoff, you see a dialog box containing standby, Turnoff, Restart click Turnoff or press u for shutting down your windows
Standby: Saves current running program so you turn on the computer next time you see from where you left
Turnoff: Shut down Windows; Make sure you save all the programs before shutting down
Restart: Shut down windows and reboot windows again
Some of your system may have hibernate (to enable hibernate click start go to control panel and select power option and enable hibernate). To hibernate click start turnoff computer and the above dialog box appears and press shift and click hibernate
